A couple days ago I went to take a look at the progress being made on the multi-media stage set pieces. This will enable me to take a song like "Revival In The Land" and put myself almost in the video, live, as it plays behind me on a 9 foot screen in the Passion For People: Project, Church Concert Tour we are doing.

I love to give. For years it has brought me great joy to give more in concerts than anyone expects or can pay for. Free concerts and a big show have always excited me. Sowing into peoples lives has been my life's call.

As I looked at the Stage Pieces, and being July, I could see the song "America Again" playing in my mind's eye and the words started to come back to me after all these years. "We eliminated God from the equation of American life, thus eliminating the reason this nation first began...from beyond the grave I hear the voices of our Founding Fathers plead...we need God in America again."

There have been so many inroads of perversion and sin into the course of American life since I wrote that song ten years ago: the Internet, entertainment, politics, crime; that it's a wonder we are still here. Yet the scripture still says that where sin abounds grace does more abound. Who would have thought that in this atmosphere that the largest network on TV would be a Christian network. The biggest film of the decade would be "The Passion of Christ." The biggest live crowds would be for evangelists and Christian Conferences and even the largest weekly gathering would be a church that has 20,000 people come 3 times every Sunday.

Jesus warned us in Luke 23:8 that in the end times "Don't let anyone mislead you" His first concern was that men would confuse us and teach us wrong things and lead us away from the truth by deception. America has been deceived into thinking that we were never a Christian Nation, yet the 10 commandments are still etched into the walls of the supreme court. We are a nation that has been taught by the words of man that right is wrong and wrong is right. That's why when we set the Gospel to music in a concert and see lives change in just "1 hour" we fully understand the true power of the words of life over the words of death. It's still the word that changes things and in the midst of the greatest onslaught of deception known to man that it's crucial that we take our music into the churches first, to the people of God. Judgment begins with the house of God and that is still the church. When we turn from our wicked ways, seek God in humility that healing comes to our land. Our passion for God must always translate into a passion for his Church which in turn, demonstrates itself as a passion for people.
